Geoffrey R. Tumlin is the CEO of Mouthpeace Consulting LLC, a communication consulting company, the President of On-Demand Leadership, a leadership development firm, and the Founder and Board Chair of Critical Skills Nonprofit, a public charity that provides leadership and communication skills training to chronically underserved populations. He is the author of Stop Talking, Start Communicating, published by McGraw-Hill.

Geoffrey is a frequent national media expert on communication, leadership, and group performance, and his writing and ideas have been featured in hundreds of media outlets including the Chicago Tribune, the L.A Times, the Globe and Mail, CNN/Fortune.com, and SiriusXM radio. Geoffrey’s scholarly writing has appeared in journals and textbooks including the International Leadership Journal,the Encyclopedia of Leadership, and in five editions of Professional Communication Skills. Geoffrey holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

He received the Eyes of Texas Excellence Award for his work as the assistant director of the Center for Ethical Leadership at the University of Texas at Austin. Geoffrey has worked with some of the most prestigious companies in the world, including Boston Scientific, Shell Oil, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Tripler Army Hospital, Dow Chemical, the Honolulu Police Department, Hibernia National Bank (now Capital One Bank), Baylor Scott and White Healthcare, and the Houston Grand Opera.
